Once a memorial lease has been purchased, it will be in your loved one’s name for the duration of the chosen lease period. When the lease is coming up to its expiry date, we will contact you again and you will then have the option of renewing the lease further or if preferred, the lease can be terminated.
If you choose to terminate, as the plaque is yours, you will have the option to make an appointment to collect the plaque from the Office at Wilford Hill.

For a memorial stone to be placed on a grave plot, a permit application must be made to the Cemeteries Office by a Nottingham City Council approved stonemason. The type and size of the memorial permitted will depend on the type of grave.
For stonemasons with permit application queries, please contact us on memorials@nottinghamcity.gov.uk
Please request a copy of the Cemetery Regulations by contacting the Cemeteries Office to find out what type of grave your family owns and what is permitted.
